My senior year of high school, I participated in the Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) District Competition. The category I competed in was the Brand Design category, where the theme for that year was to design an entire men's clothing store from scratch. For my project, I created a men's outdoor-wear clothing store called Waucoma, centered around Mt. Hood, Oregon. The different categories of designs I created were the logo, 3D layout of the store, various clothing items, specialty items, a webpage design, and a social media design. All elements, with the exception of any clothing or item mock ups, were created in Adobe Illustrator. All mock-ups were created in Adobe Photoshop. In addition to these design boards being digital images, I also printed each of these boards out on vinyl substrate, pasted them onto foam boards, and laminated each board for the district competition presentation. My brand did end up qualifying for the state competition, however I did not choose to advance due to conflicts with my schedule.
